The (belated) Friday Five

1. What's the last place you traveled to, outside your own home state/country?

Ottawa, Canada. *waves to obelix*

2. What's the most bizarre/unusual thing that's ever happened to you while traveling?

That'd probably have to be the time when I was flying to Poland and as the plane taxied down the runway, a little voice (I think the child in question was about 6) could be heard to ask "Is this plane going to crash in flames, daddy?". Followed by much shushing from the embarrassed parent in question...

3. If you could take off to anywhere, money and time being no object, where would you go?

If that was the case, I'd start off by doing the TransMongolian Railway from Moscow to Beijing, with lots of stops. Then from Beijing I'd 'do' Hong Kong and Japan before travelling back via the Silk Road through all those former Russian states that end with -stan. And then I'd plan my next trip... :)

4. Do you prefer traveling by plane, train or car?

I prefer travelling by car, as long as I'm the one doing the driving - I'm not that good a passenger. I like travelling by train, if time isn't pressing (hence the TransMongolian trip above). Travelling by plane is probably my least favourite of those three, mostly because I get bored after a couple of hours and there's still ages to go...

5. What's the next place on your list to visit?

Atlanta. Two weeks tomorrow! :) *waves to xochiquetzl*
