Ghibli overdose

I expect that most of the Brits on my friendslist will know that the film channel Film Four is going free to air from July 23rd - there's certainly been enough ads about that it might be hard to miss. What you might not know is some of the movies that will be airing over the next few weeks, the highlight (for me) being the short season of Studio Ghibli movies:

4th August - The Castle of Cagliostro
5th August - Kiki's Delivery Service
6th August - Princess Mononoke
7th August - Laputa: Castle in the Sky
8th August - My Neighbour Totoro
9th August - Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind
10th August - Porco Rosso

So, if you've got satellite, cable or Freeview, it's worth looking out for these! :)

Thanks for the heads up. I had no idea about Film Four. Guess I just don't watch enough TV! And what TV I do watch is mostly from SKY+ off air, and I fast forward through the ads!

I've seen all of them except Porco Rosso, so I'm looking forward to that, but I was hopeful they'd be able to show these again since I'd seen them in the schedule earlier this month.

If they can carry on showing good stuff like this, I'll certainly be tuning in on a regular basis...

They've been doing billboards as well, but I expect it depends on where you are and what you do. They seem to be continuing to show an eclectic mix of movies and I hope that continues...

No billboards outside the city centre, and I don't go into town that often. And I never find time to read the magazines I occasionally buy. Marketers can't reach me, which is good cos I, generally, hate marketing. *g*

Fingers crossed on the eclectic mix continuing. I wasn't willing to pay the fee for Film 4, but I'll definitely make use of it now it's free.
