A bunch of them have definitely come from the more obscure parts of my playlist, that's for sure... ;)

"9. He's got all the things you need and some that you will never / But you make him sound like frozen food, his love will last forever"

I could recognize an Elvis Costello lyric at a hundred yards away. That's "I Hope You're Happy Now" off Blood and Chocolate.

Unfortunately my EC stuff is mostly on vinyl and my amplifier recently crapped out so I'm stuck with what I have on cd at the moment... *sigh*

I empathize. It's so costly to convert all your vinyl to CD- unless you just download everything illegally and make your own copies. But then that requires a lot of effort. I still have all of EC's early stuff only on vinyl and I don't own a turntable anymore. So, at this point they are just pretty decorations.

I got hold of a really good turntable when someone I used to work with did just that, but there's nothing quite like vinyl. The amplifier I had was nearly as old as I am, though, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

How sad is it that the only one left that I recognise is by an artist I don't even really like that much! These quiz things could become addictive :)

No. 16 - James Blunt - Wisemen

That was the first track of his I heard, back before he was vastly overplayed, and I still think it's the best one of the entire album. Probably mostly because it's not as maudlin as some of his other stuff! ;)

I'm impressed anyone got that! :)
