Just in case anyone was wondering (though I'm going to tell you anyway!) - what's hot:

  • Boston Legal - oh, what's not to love? See icon for details! :P
  • Bones - sure, it's like AU episodes of Angel, where he joined the FBI instead of being a vampire, fighting crime alongside Dr Autism!MarySue, but the geeks...
  • Veronica Mars - but there's not enough Logan/Weevil slash out there! :(
  • House - teetered on the edge of annoying the crap out of me at the start of this season but managed to pull it back somehow.
  • Criminal Minds - even if I keep having Dead Like Me flashbacks with Rube Gideon thingy the profiler...
  • Wanted - possibly the most idiotic copshow on tv, but somehow I love all of them, especially Eddie, who is my skeezy favourite.
  • Numb3rs - or at least it would be, if I ever got around to watching the eps I haven't seen yet... *sigh*
  • Supernatural - like the show, don't see why everyone's so smitten with it though... like Dean best, even if that's playing against type for me since he's not the geek. ;)

    What's not:

  • Navy NCIS - even the lovely DMc was not enough to make me stick with season 2. I figured once I was essentially fast-forwarding past any scene that didn't include either Ducky, McGee and/or Abby, it was time to quit.
  • Lost - failed to keep my interest into season 2, when I found I was starting to hope bad things would happen to all of the characters...
  • The Inside - oh, spork me now. I managed to get through the pilot episode but lost the will to live soon after...

There are probably others in the latter list but maybe I'm in denial? *ponders* Haven't decided where Battlestar Galactica season 3 is likely to end up, though I have a feeling it's about to jump the shark. And , no [livejournal.com profile] xochiquetzl I have no idea where all the Starbuck-hate is coming from, except that she's not rutting with Apollo, since she's hardly barefoot and pregnant on New Caprica.

Yeah, episode reaction I saw ranged from "BEST! SEASON FINALE! EVAR!!!!!" to "OMGWTFBBQ!!! They jumped the shark! I'm not even bothering to tune in for season 3; that was the worst excuse for storytelling I've ever had the misfortune to see in my life..."

NCIS got better as I went through the seasons, actually working in some character background and development! s2 was better than 1, and, not wishing you to be spoiled (spoilt?) in any way, but season 3 has a breath of fresh air which cuts through the Tony-ness of season 1. People get a chance to act! I even warm to Tony (a little) based on the episode he gets in each season, and McGee gets a very good episode in season 3. I've been re-watching the series and forgot how much I wanted to slap Kate and the Kate-and-Tony show. But I do still enjoy it and do recommend it.

I've not seen Bones, is it worthwhile me trying to find a download source for it? Bear in mind that Angel was my least liked character in the Buffy/Angel series and I was never sure whether that was Angel, or DB's acting skills.

I liked season 2 of NCIS, it was season 3 that made me want to stab someone with the introduction of first Ziva and then Gibbs former-love interest. Bleurgh. Though I would happily have put Kate on a box and lined her up with Tony at the end of season 2 so we could have made good use of that bullet...

And I expect Bones will be back around again on Sky once season 1 has run its course, if the channel do their usual. I was never a big fan of DB here but he's actually okay and the supporting cast are very entertaining (though the Dr MarySue can be a bit vexing at times).

I think they lost their way at one point and I'm not sure if they really had enough story to stretch it to a double-episode finale.

I also wanted to kick both Starbuck and Apollo in the head at various points, but I'm really hoping this isn't all a set-up to get them together next season having overcome adversities, blah blah. I wonder if Apollo knows Dee was involved in trying to rig the election?

I'm not a fan of the Starbuck/Apollo, so I hope not, too.

Oh, Apollo wouldn't take that well. My guess is no.

I was ready to murder any and all House writers during the Stacy arc. I swear if she'd stuck around, I would've quit on it. As it is, I was at the point of vowing never to watch it again, when he came in singing the morning after she bagged him. I couldn't stand watching the rest of that episode.

I always wanted bad things to happen to the people on Lost. They're much more entertaining when they're in pain, or dead. I still regret they didn't kill off Jack like they meant too.

House nearly lost me at the start of the season too, it just seemed really off, still not as enamoured with it as I was but more than happy to keep watching.

Lost, well I expect nothing from this other than entertainment and eye candy and it still delivers both. I don't read the fic or indulge in the fandom, no idea about spoilers and I love it that way.

Bones just never did it for me, neither did Numbers, tried them both and just couldn't get hooked. I'll watch them if they're on, but I wouldn't cry if I missed an ep.

As for Supernatural, well yeah, I'm one of those that's totally sucked in and in love with it. I'm a sucker for angst and h/c and it just delivers it all by the bucketload, Dean is one of the most screwed up characters I've come across and JA plays him exceptionally well. JP isn't so dusty either, they have a fantastic chemistry which just zings off the screen for me. This one, above all, is the hit of the year.

Then of course there's Doctor Who starting in a couple of weeks, SQUEEEEEE!!!!!!

Allan is hooked on it now. He loves how Ziva slaps Tony around. I complain that she isn't killing him. Fortunately the director seems to have faded out a bit. Not enough, but a bit. Tony however... *STABSTABSTABSTAB*

Lost - ... I found I was starting to hope bad things would happen to all of the characters...

See and I was like that after the first 10 minutes...

The only thing new I've watched is Life on Mars... (shut up)
    :P
And of course CSI and Law & Order, regular and CI

But Gil get gayer and gayer each season, which you know I adore.
